It’s January and in Chicago this week that means single digit temperatures. BRRR. A perennial favorite activity of mine is planning vacations and right now is a wonderful time to plan another Holland America and Oprah Magazine cruise.
I took my first cruise in July on the inaugural #OMAGonHAL journey to Alaska. It was incredible to share the adventure with my fellow passengers. Being a photographer, I was like a kid in a candy store with the Alaskan grandeur at every vista. The ship was the perfect size. The accommodations, dining and entertainment were incredible. The icing on the cake of this particular cruise for me was of course seeing Oprah, Gayle King, Adam Glassman, as well as experiencing all of the OMag programming!

I said top 5 reasons, but really I could go on for pages. I am a water gal – My husband and I were married on a boat, we sail on Lake Michigan as well as in Cape Cod Bay, I am happiest and most at peace when I am on the water. To take a vacation where you are surrounded by the ocean, natures strength and beauty, as well as pairing that with the level of service the Holland America Line provided has been permanently etched on my soul.
I will be back on a future cruise. I have yet to visit the Caribbean…
