Last month I set sail with Holland America and Oprah Magazine on their first of many #OMAGonHAL cruises. The destination of maiden voyage in their partnership was Alaska. As an OMagInsider how could I pass up this amazing journey on my own “year of adventure!”
A true highlight (more to come in future blog posts) was working with Oprah Magazine’s Creative Director, Adam Glassman on his feature Love That. Utilizing only 10 pieces from Chico’s, Adam styled 30 looks that were modeled by 10 of our own OMagInsiders. The thrill was not only modeling this great collection, but in chatting and connecting with other passengers from the cruise hearing their enthusiasm for the new looks.
My favorite ensemble was:
Earrings: Roberto Coin
What I love about Chico’s is that a few key pieces can be interchanged easily to create multiple stylish looks. As a professional photographer, my main go to color is black. On a recent trip to New York City, I added the LARGE DOT FLOUNCE-SLEEVE top to my suitcase. It was spot on – no pun intended! I was able to go from a meeting downtown to a shoot while feeling put together and on point. The flounce sleeves added great movement and did not get in the way.
As a newly converted Chico’s devotee, I have to say that my experience with the line is not just from the working with the fashion show. I have visited my local Michigan Avenue store. While there, I was given the best customer service. Lisa and her staff really know their inventory and treat each guest with the assistance they request. I have also shopped online. The online shop is easy to navigate and you get the wonderful follow up emails as well as superb help from their online chat. Hint: Be sure to register online and stay connected with the latest collections and fantastic sales!
Before leaving New York, I popped in to see the holiday preview at the Chico’s showroom. Thanks, Kristin for the invite and heads up – I am so excited for colder weather and fun holiday fashions!
